Opening in 2019, The Kingdom Tower in Saudi Arabia will surpass Dubai’s Burj Khalifa in height and be erected sustainably with a lifespan of over 100 years. Whilst the final height of the structure has not yet been released, it is rumoured to be the first structure in history to reach the 1km mark. The building was initially designed to be one mile (1.6km) tall, however after consideration of the geography this plan was ultimately abandoned. The Engineers on the project are still puzzled as to how to get wet concrete 1,000 metres into the sky. To read more, CLICK HERE!
