2: 2016 Concrete Pumper's Expo
The 2016 Expo will be packed to the rafters with events, meetings, talks and more. The following are some of the events on the day.
Pump Operator of the Year: Challengers will take turns in moving a pump arm through an obstacle course, touching the end of the hose on marked checkpoints in the quickest time. The winner will receive a trophy, free CPAA shirt and hold bragging rights as Australia's best boom pumper!
Line Operator of the Year: To win, pumpers must assemble and dissemble a 15m length line hose in the fastest possible time. Pumper’s will either compete against their colleagues or compete against other companies. The winner will receive a trophy, free CPAA shirt and hold bragging rights as Australia's best line pumper!
Toolbox Talks with Neville Barnes: Neville has been involved in the concrete pumping industry for over 40 years. Neville is a Truck Mounted Concrete Pump Placing Boom Trainer & Assessor at his company Kanefall. At 11:30am and 2:00pm Neville will talk about the myths in the industry, VOC’s, tips and tricks and answer as many of your questions as he can.
Annual General Meeting: The AGM will review the last 12 months of achievements, projects and financial challenges undertaken by the CPAA. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting, with time provided for questions after each major topic. The October Management meeting will follow the AGM, and the board will discuss the strategic plan for the coming three years.
