Three workers injured falling from unguarded voids
Falling through unguarded voids is a contributing factor to a number of serious injuries and deaths in the construction industry. In all three incidents, the workers were working near unguarded voids where there was a risk of a fall.
Any construction work that involves the risk of a person falling more than 2 metres is considered high-risk construction work under Regulation 291 of the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Regulations 2011.
